A few years ago, we had a simulation board game "epiphany" of sorts, randomly rolling around a 20-sided dice. The idea occurred to us that it was very similar to rolling a bowling ball. So we set to work creating some mathematical formulas and a cardstock "alley," and the results were phenomenal! A totally new bowling board game was born! Pro bowling games of the past and present have primarily been dice-rolling exercises, where the luckiest dice wins--but not BOWL-O-RAMA! This is a bowling simulation board game where SKILL matters, and luck is an added ingredient--just like REAL bowling!
HOWEVER, not only is this game FUN, and EASY to PLAY--it's also realistic AND accurate, too! This bowling board game captures all the nuances and challenges of real bowling; the tough splits, the lucky pin bounces, the razor-thin margin between a strike and a spare leave. And the bowlers themselves are realistically represented as well. Each pro bowler card will reflect that bowler's actual average and characteristics. Plus, our trademark "highlight reel" results will bring about all kinds of unique twists that make a bowling series or season truly memorable.
We created BOWL-O-RAMA to be a bowling board game that can be played in a number of different ways, because more CHOICES, means more FUN! You can enjoy the game in "participation mode," as described above, where you actually get to BE the bowler(s) and experience the tension and thrill of throwing the strikes yourself! OR, you can play the game in "spectator mode," sitting in the gallery and "watching" big-time bowlers show their stuff. There's also a "quick play mode" where you can roll an entire game in just seconds! This will make it possible to complete entire league seasons, establish averages, or conduct qualifying rounds quickly and easily, and STILL with plenty of fun and excitement!

How long does it take to play a game? In spectator or participant mode, a game can be played in less than five minutes. There's an "instant play" option that generates scores in seconds.
Can this game be played solitaire? Yes, it's perfect for solitaire play!
Can I create my own players and teams? Yes and no. While the card-making formula has not been published, there's an available "City League" card set that has blank cards representing amateur bowlers from a typical local bowling league. Also, the game comes with a set of eight generic bowler ability cards, from which your own cards could be approximated.
How long has this game been around? BOWL-O-RAMA was introduced in 2002.
